We are currently seeking candidates to fill a CBA Tools & Parts Attendant opening in support of Naval Test Wing Atlantic (NTWL) - Patuxent River, MD.

Job Summary:

  • Tools- Analyze and coordinate the logistical functions of a firm or organization. Responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, and final disposal of resources.
  • Parts-Receive, store, and issue sales floor merchandise, materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard to fill shelves, racks, tables, or customers' orders.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Tools
    • Manages, stores and issues hand tools, machine tools, dies, replacement parts, shop supplies and equipment in an industrial establishment.
    • Keeps records of tools/ equipment issued and returned by workers.
    • Provides inventory and management of inventories and requisitions stock as needed, unpacks, and stores new equipment; visually inspects for defects and reports damage.
  • Parts
    • Performs aspects of technical supply management work such as inventory management, storage management, and cataloging related to squadron supply activities.
    • Performs physical tasks to transport or store materials or merchandise manually loading or unloading transporting devices; unpacking, shelving, or placing items in proper storage locations; or transporting goods by hand truck, cart, or motor vehicle.
    • Performs a variety of warehousing duties such as verifying materials, merchandise, and or equipment against receiving documents and routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods; taking inventory of stored materials; and removing materials from storage and preparing it for shipment.
    • Proficient computer skills with the ability to update and maintain computer inventory records.
    • Ability to read and prepare packing slips and labels.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain the requisite security clearance.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Education and Experience:

Education: High school diploma or GED.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year experience using common hand tools, inventory of tools, and compliance with FOD control procedures is required. Special consideration will be given for experience in IMRL work and HAZMAT management of (1) point for each of these two categories.

  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to traverse the storeroom quickly and efficiently.
    • Physically able to maintain storeroom inventory and cleanliness.
    • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at a time.
    • Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.
    • Must be able to pass all workplace wellness screening requirements.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.

Required Skills

Associates Degree preferred, High School Diploma or equivalent with an additional 2 years of experience.

Required Experience
