We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting with examinations, administering medications, performing laboratory tests, and providing support to our veterinarians. Duties: - Assist veterinarians in performing medical procedures and surgeries - Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by veterinarians - Perform laboratory tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations - Take and develop radiographs (x-rays) - Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals - Monitor vital signs of patients during procedures and recovery - Maintain accurate medical records - Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans - Clean and maintain equipment and work areas Experience: - Previous experience working as a Veterinary Technician or in a similar role preferred - Knowledge of pet care, veterinary medicine, and animal husbandry - Proficiency in animal restraint techniques - Familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures - Ability to perform basic laboratory tests such as blood work and urinalysis - Experience with veterinary critical care is a plus - Knowledge of dog training techniques is beneficial Skills: - Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with pet owners and team members - Strong organizational skills with attention to detail - Compassionate nature and genuine love for animals - Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism - Proficient computer skills for maintaining accurate records We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
