Job Summary:

I'm seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Vice President of Structured Finance to lead my client's finance team. The VP of Structured Finance will be responsible for overseeing the financial structuring, funding, and management of our community solar projects. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in project finance, renewable energy, and capital markets. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully closing complex financial transactions and securing funding for large-scale projects.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies to support the growth and sustainability of the company's community solar projects.
  • Project Financing: Lead the structuring, negotiation, and closing of debt and equity financing for new projects, including tax equity, construction financing, and permanent debt.
  • Investor Relations: Build and maintain relationships with investors, lenders, and financial institutions to secure capital and optimize financing terms.
  • Financial Modeling: Develop and oversee detailed financial models to evaluate project economics, risks, and returns.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks associated with project development and operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including development, engineering, and legal, to support project development and execution.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA or CFA designation preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in structured finance, project finance, or a related field, with a focus on renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments, capital markets, and tax equity financing.
  • Proven ability to structure and close complex financial transactions.
  • Excellent analytical, modeling, and quantitative skills.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of renewable energy markets, particularly community solar, and related financial regulations.
