General Packer-Woodshop
Responsibilities
- Package finished products per instructions from work order / operators.
- Build skids / find skids outside ahead of each job to maintain maximum flow of production for machine you are working at.
- Complete paperwork and put material away in a location and ensure that it's correct.
- Inspect and package a quality product.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
- Aid/assist other machines packing when time permits.
- Aid/assist operators when time permits.
- Aid/assist other machines; Build/find skids (especially woodshop employees).
- Monitor supplies - let supervisor know when something is getting low.
- As a small company, additional duties may be assigned to ensure the plant is operating efficiently.
- Safety is a high priority. Employees must wear appropriate PPE at all times and comply with company and OSHA safety processes and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills- Prior experience in a woodshop or similar environment is beneficial.
- Ability to operate packing equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks (proper certification may be required).
- Basic math and computer skills for work order tracking and documentation purposes.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in order picking, packing, and inventory management.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform tasks that involve lifting, carrying, and moving heavy objects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in a woodshop setting
Benefits/Compensation- Full Time
- Pay Rate is $20 per hour
- 1st Shift (6:00am-2:30pm)
- Weekly pay while employed through Career Concepts
