Eastridge Workforce Solutions is partnering with a company that specializes in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of blow-molded plastic products in its search for a Tool Maker (Mold Repair) in Germantown, WI. All shifts are available. For immediate consideration, apply today.

Job Description

The Toolmaker is responsible for the repair and preventive maintenance of molds.

Below are additional duties and responsibilities:

  • Know and follow all of the Company's safety rules, such as safe work practices and standard operating procedures.
  • Serve as a good role model to employees for safe work practices and behavior by conducting yourself professionally, keeping in mind your own safety and the safety of others.
  • Learn and master all necessary areas of the quality system.
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
  • Read engineering drawings and use necessary measuring devices to produce or modify existing tooling, new tools, or old tools.
  • Repair or request replacement parts, tooling or hardware as needed in order to maintain inventory of tooling.
  • Set-up and operate all hand-tool equipment along with manual toolroom machines.
  • Coordinate with specialty machining areas for specific operations or needs.
  • Understand and perform quality standards, methods, usage of toolroom inspection equipment, and reporting as required.
  • Trouble-shooting, preventative maintenance, and repair of tools and hot systems.
  • Any other duties as assigned.
Experience and Skills

A qualified Toolmaker candidate would fulfill these requirements:
  • Completion of a state indentured tool and die apprenticeship.
  • One year of applicable plastics experience or accrued on-the-job training and experience.
  • Experience with repairing and preventative maintenance of molds.
  • Troubleshooting and reverse engineering experience.
  • Experience with toolroom equipment such as a mills, surface grinders, and lathes.
  • Experience working with hot systems preferred.
  • Basic understanding of injection molding process, equipment, and materials.
  • Lock out/Tag out and Forklift experience.
