POSITION SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to perform work in the collection, analyses, evaluation, interpretation, and dissemination of information on inappropriate communications, unusual direction of interest and threats that directly or indirectly affect the Legislative Branch of the United States Government. Performs as an all-source intelligence analyst with responsibility for the project and activities within a specifically defined geographical or functional area of responsibility.

This position has a training requirement. You will be required to attend and successfully complete on the job training. You may be required to successfully complete additional training as a condition of continued employment. Failure to successfully complete the required course(s) of training in accordance with either Constellis or United States Capitol Police standards and policies will result in demotion, or separation as determined by management and appropriate procedures.

Pay Transparency:

$57.69 /hr.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an Assistant Watch Commander your typical work assignments may include:

  • Perform a wide variety of administrative services in support and operations of the Protective Intelligence Operations Center (PIOC).
  • Under the guidance of the Watch Officer and/or Watch Commander or client law enforcement representative, clarifies the nature of investigative intelligence indicators, provides investigative leads, requests data to substantiate or verify information, suggests possible new avenue of investigation, and reasonable research information for use in responding to field requests.
  • Performs complex analyses of raw primary and secondary data queried from various sources, i.e., internal and external automated data base systems, intelligence reports and case files.
  • Provides detailed analytical reports of the activities of crime groups. Makes recommendations for modifications and improvements to existing systems and establishes new collection techniques for unique protective investigations.
  • Conducts validation of sources and evaluates information derived from cooperating witnesses, assets, and informants, and preparing production reviews of asset/informant/cooperating witness validation efforts.
  • Accesses local and national information and intelligence information databases to respond to and validate requests for information.
  • Develops and maintains computerized intelligence databases to generate statistical and relational reports. Performs liaison and coordination functions with counterparts and personnel throughout the intelligence communities.

  • You will be required to maintain access to all data systems necessary for duty execution.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.

  • Primary U.S. residency for at least three of the last five years (additional details below)

    • Working as a contractor, intern, consultant or volunteer supporting the U.S. government
  • You will be required to pass a background investigation.

  • You must possess a bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university. A graduate-level degree is preferred.

  • Possess at least an active Secret security clearance.
  • You qualify if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience performing duties such as:
    • Collecting, analyzing, and/or disseminating intelligence information; using a variety of intelligence-gathering methods including link analyses, visual investigative analyses, crime mapping, and telephone toll record analyses to support investigative operations;
    • Extracting, compiling, and/or analyzing factual information based on requests from special agents;
    • Presenting briefings on a variety of intelligence topics to other law enforcement and intelligence agencies and organizations;
    • Maintaining and modifying computerized intelligence databases to generate statistical and relational reports;
    • Producing intelligence reports based on a review of data from various sources.
    • MUST possess strong oral and writing communication skills in English.
    • MUST be able to think critically and work well under stress.

WORKING CONDITIONS

The work environment is exclusively office based. You may be required to perform work on a shift and rotational basis. You must be readily available to work overtime on a scheduled or unscheduled basis in excess of the 40-hour work week. This position does not require a uniform. The requirement is business attire unless otherwise authorized, e.g., business casual.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

May be required to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday.
