The School offers a BA and an MS in Entrepreneurship and Innovation and currently comprises about 200 undergraduate and 25 graduate students.

**Job Summary**

The adjunct faculty member will have a passion for entrepreneurship and an enthusiasm for working with students and student ventures. The adjunct will employ a variety of strategies to foster student learning and discussions, as well as, encourage active learning in all students, maintain proper course-related records, and evaluate student work and provide students with feedback as to the progress toward meeting the objectives of the course. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively teaching students in the assigned classroom, or remote-delivery modality. Each adjunct faculty member is responsible for effectively implementing the mission of the Close School of Entrepreneurship. Responsibilities may include teaching days, evenings, nights, and weekends, with the potential for online only, in-person only, or a combination of both.

**Essential Functions**

* Teach required number of credit hours per quarter based on their contract

* Demonstrate knowledge and skills related to the teaching students at both UG and GR levels, teaching methodology, curriculum development and evaluation.

* Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of the curriculum using a written plan.

* Plan and provide instruction and experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the Close School and its related programming.

* Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes related to entrepreneurship knowledge and practice.

* Schedule two office hours per week for student availability, if applicable.

* Schedule administrative time for classroom, or presentation preparation, as necessary.

* Maintain communication with the Associate Dean and Faculty Coordinator for any student issues.

* Perform other similar duties as assigned.

**Required Qualifications**

* Master's Degree in Entrepreneurship or a related discipline.

* One year of teaching or professional experience.

**Preferred Qualifications**

* Experience as an entrepreneur/corporate innovator, or experience with working with early-stage companies or social ventures.
