ASRC Federal Field Services are seeking a HVAC Mechanic to support the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Spruill Avenue). Description Understand refrigeration cycle, diagnosing problems in the refrigeration circuit, using a manifold gauge set, pressure/ temperature chart and temperature measuring devices for routine maintenance and daily trouble shooting. Perform refrigeration recovery, evacuation and charging. Able to install, repair, adjust, maintain, and trouble shoot the following equipment mini-split systems, refrigeration controls, compressors, heat pumps, split systems, package units, electric motors -- single and three phase, electric motor controls -- contactors, starters, relays, disconnects, and thermostats. Ability to use a multi-meter and megger to read voltage, current, and resistance values. Must be able to troubleshoot electrical circuits. Proficiently perform soldering and brazing.
