Job Details:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Plant Controller to join our team in the manufacturing industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a financial professional who is ready to take their career to the next level. The Plant Controller will be responsible for all financial aspects of the plant including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting. This role will require strategic planning, process improvement, operations management, and cost management. The successful candidate will also be responsible for job costing, inventory management, internal controls, financial modeling, financial audits, corporate finance, and accounting in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all financial operations of the plant, ensuring accurate and timely financial reports and forecasts.
2. Develop and manage the plant's annual budget and 3-year strategic plan.
3. Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
4. Manage the cost accounting, job costing, and inventory management processes.
5. Implement and maintain robust internal controls to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
6. Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
7. Coordinate and lead the plant's annual financial audit.
8. Partner with plant management to drive operational performance and efficiency.
9. Provide financial leadership and support to the plant's operational teams.
10. Stay current with latest corporate finance and manufacturing trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CPA certification preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the Engineering or Manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
4. Strong knowledge of cost management, job costing, inventory management, and internal controls.
5. Experience with financial modeling, financial audits, and corporate finance.
6. Strong understanding of manufacturing accounting.
7. Excellent strategic planning and process improvement skills.
8. Demonstrated leadership and operations management abilities.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
11. Proficiency in relevant financial software and applications.
