About this Position

Sasha Bruce Youthwork seeks a motivated and dynamic professional to join the team at Pregnantand Parenting ILP an independent living residential program for pregnant and parenting youngadults. Pregnant and Parent ILP is an independent living program for young moms between theages of 18-21 and their children. The program participants receive supportive services including onsite case management, counseling, and life skills education through group sessions. The Pregnantand Parent ILP program has the capacity to serve 6 mothers and their children.The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting parenting youth and their children. Coreactivities include coordinating and leading parent and two-generation activities in a variety of areas,including stress reduction, parent and caregiver education, and developmental milestone workshopsas informed by the Parent as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and ASQ developmental screenings.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Coordinate and lead parent and two-generation activities in a variety of areas, includingstress reduction, parent and caregiver education, and developmental milestone workshopsas informed by the Parent as Teachers (PAT) curriculum and ASQ developmentalscreenings.Recruit and enroll families for parenting programs.Develop social support networks for parents through mentoring and social groups.Provide case management support for a select cohort of clients.Develop and implement a strategy for utilizing a wide array of partnerships with community-based organizations, programmatic partners, corporations, governmental agencies, andcultural institutions.Collect, input, and monitor data, and develop reports or case studies.Utilize Sasha Bruce networks, partners, knowledge, and volunteers to build engagement andmulti-sector involvement to ensure the long term success of young parents.

Qualifications:Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a related field; such ascounseling, psychology, or education.Two years of experience working with low-income families, preferably in an urban settingAt least four years of experience working in nonprofit, human services, or education settingTwo or more years of experience developing, carrying out, and evaluating trainings, workshops, orother programmingExperience connecting families with community assistance resources, including resources relatedto eviction or homelessness, domestic violence, drug abuse, unemployment, and literacy issues.Additional qualifications include the ability to effectively use Microsoft Office and GSuite programs.Familiarity with HMIS and client record management software is also a plus.
