Job Description
**Job Summary**
Safely operates forklift while performing warehouse duties.
**Summary of Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities**
Moves levers and presses pedals to drive truck and control movement of lifting apparatus.
Positions lifting forks device under loaded pallets, skids and transports load to designated area.
Maintains material in an efficient and orderly manner, by size and grade for easy retrieval.
Unloads and stacks material by raising and lowering lifting device.
Inventories materials on work floor, and supply workers with materials as needed.
Inspect material for damage or shortages and report to Supervisor
Loads or unloads materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.
Lubricates truck, recharges batteries, fills fuel tank, or replaces liquefied gas tank.
All other duties as assigned by Supervisor
**Other Skills/Abilities**
Two year technical degree or equivalent and 3-5 years experience in related field
Certified Forklift Operator
Ability to read and understand work orders and written instructions
Ability to utilize measuring devices such as rulers, tapes and calipers
Ability to utilize computer to check stock and print tags
Product knowledge
Be able to use banding equipment
