The Glass Production Manager is an experienced Glazier or Glass Technician that can help lead and supervise our field staff of Glass Technicians.
The ideal candidate is someone who has experience in residential glass with some commercial glass preferred.
The ideal candidate would have proficient knowledge of:
- Glass shower enclosures
-Residential Insulated Glass Units (IGU's)
-Window repair and replacement
- Small commercial store fronts
- Measuring and cutting glass
-Willingness to supervise and lead a team of glass techs
-Previous supervisor experience
-Someone who can lead and multitask
-Someone who understands you lead by example
-Someone who understands where not done until the job is complete and correct
-Someone who can juggle the daily tasks and understands the needs to reach goals and budgets and achieves or exceeds them.
This position is M-F 8am- 5pm with company benefits offered.
* If chosen for the position and you live outside a 30 mile radius from the shop, a travel reimbursement may be available and/or a relocation allowance.
Specific Responsibilities to Monitor and Train On:
- Supervise Technicians who Install glass, mirrors, door and window hardware in replacement and new installations
- Insure the efficient use of materials and maintain adequate stock of vehicle
- Sell flat glass products and services to customers
- Conduct accurate field measuring and cut flat glass and mirrors according to specified dimensions and patterns.
- Collect payment and/or payment information from customers for work performed as needed
- Keep company vehicle and equipment properly serviced, clean, and in good working order and condition
- Complete invoices, daily route sheets, and weekly reports as required
- Execute Service with Advanced Training (SWAT)
- Work closely with other management and staff to ensure an overall excellent customer experience
Job Requirements:
- Prior experience in the flat glass industry installing showers is a plus
- Ability to measure accurately and use tape measures, levels, and lazers
- Physical ability to work with ladders, scaffolding and related equipment required for glass installation
- Proficiency to navigate tablet based technology
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
