**Shipping and Receiving Clerk, Kohler Hospitality**
*Work Mode: Onsite*
**Location:** Kohler, WI
**Opportunity**
The Shipping & Receiving Clerk position verifies and keeps records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment by performing the following duties to quality and productivity standards.
Specific job responsibilities include:
* Receives incoming shipments against established purchase order, unpacks as directed, examines and routes to appropriate area, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.
* Provide constant inspection of product being received to ensure quality specifications are being met (count, weight, cost, expirations, etc.).
* Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to leadership. Document returns for credit.
* Price and label product, as directed.
* Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies.
* Carries or utilizes hand trucks or carts to convey, move or hoist materials to proper departments or areas. Inform final department of any shortages.
* Performs all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.
* Responsible for making arrangements for pick up by the carrier specified on the customers purchase order and preparing outgoing shipments accordingly for safe handling and necessary documentation.
* May be required to make pick-ups and deliveries to our outlets using a company vehicle.
* Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
* Ensure food safety and sanitation requirements are maintained for applicable receiving and storage areas.
* Support inventory processes through applicable software
* Support outside cleanup i.e. snow removal, laying salt, and any lawn/garden needs. Will also assist in light maintenance duties as needed.
This is a seasonal position that will work during the week between Monday-Friday 8 am - 5 pm.
**Skills/Requirements**
* Minimum of a high school education or equivalent preferred.
* Ability to read and write English preferred.
* A valid drivers license and a good driving record.
* Must be at least 18 years old.
* Must be able to stand for periods of time and frequently lift and/or move items over 25lbs.
