Overview:
A distinguished research university is currently searching for a Lab Technician to perform or assist in producing radiopharmaceuticals for experimental PET studies under the general direction of the radiochemistry supervisor. Perform quality control analysis of radiopharmaceuticals used in positron emission tomography (PET) scans and analysis of plasma samples for trace amounts of radiolabeled metabolites. Separate and purify precursors used for radiolabeling.
Responsibilities

Plans and directs clinical trials and multi-site studies in administrative budgetary matters, prepares analysis for planning, directs day-to-day activities, adheres to applicable regulations and procedures, and supervises project staff.
Assists in developing and implementing study protocols, policies, and procedures.
Submits clinical trial applications and reports to agencies and departments as applicable.
Assisted in developing and implementing study protocols, policies, and procedures and recommended improvements as necessary.
Manages resources to accomplish goals, objectives, and deliverables.
Running tests using Cyclotron machines.
Coordinates special projects, studies, agreements, and/or trials as directed.
Acts as liaison between the program and outside agencies

Requirements A bachelor's degree with a concentration in chemistry
1-2 years of applicable radioactivity and/or imaging experience is highly preferred
Synthetic or Organic Chemistry experience
Experience with utilizing HPLC, TLC, GC, NMR, UV, IR required
