Compensation

$95,000 - $110,000 DOE

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close and related reports
  • Post adjusting and accrual journal entries according to GAAP requirements
  • Manages month-end inventory and quarterly inventory counts, and posts necessary adjustments
  • Provide support as needed for preparing and presenting annual budgets
  • Manage a team of ten including AP/Procurement, Billing, and Construction Admin departments
  • Assist with employee staffing and development, and conduct annual employee development reviews for all direct reports
  • Provide input, support, and roll-out for corporate initiatives at the local level
  • Coordinate cross-training and back-up planning for all related accounting/administrative functions
  • Provide financial and administrative training and support for division sales and plant operations managers as needed
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting to the General Manager, Operations Managers, and corporate departments as needed


Education

Accounting degree preferred

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Direct accounting experience (e.g. staff accountant, bookkeeper, etc.)
  • At least two years of related supervisory experience
  • Prior inventory management
  • Experience with a large ERP system
  • Knowledge of office procedures and systems
  • Proficiency with all MS Office software, especially Excel
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills; must be a self-starter who is deadline driven
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience troubleshooting complex administrative business problems
  • Able to produce analysis and recommendations for problem-solving and process improvements
  • Team player

Preferred:
  • Experience working in a construction materials business
  • Experience with SAP


Conditions of Employment

Successful candidate must submit to a post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check. Some positions require Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) registration/clearance as well as ongoing alcohol and drug testing.
