SALARY: 12.55 - 15.69 Hourly USD
JOB SUMMARY:
Under immediate supervision performs routine building and grounds maintenance/janitorial work which includes a
variety of housekeeping duties and cleaning tasks.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubber/sweeper, carpet cleaning machine and vacuum cleaner.
- Ability to sweep, mop, scrub, wax and polish floors.
- Ability to wash walls, windows and woodwork, etc.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to polish, arrange and move furniture and equipment.
- Ability to clean and maintain equipment.
- Ability to remove refuse from facility grounds.
- Ability to perform other related duties as needed or directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of materials, methods and equipment commonly used in cleaning operation.
Skill in using chemicals/cleaning supplies and respective quantities to use.
Ability to read labels on chemical products.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
Ability to determine priorities when performing assigned tasks.
Ability to perform routine custodial duties.
Ability to work irregular hours as required.
Incumbent is subject to fume/odor, dust/mites, chemical, electrical, and toxic waste hazards.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
Six months related janitorial or custodial work. Must successfully complete pre-employment screening which consists of criminal background, HPE, drug and alcohol and physical.
