The Military Division of Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for a Maintenance Technician in the S. Chicago IL area. For over 100 years, this specialty manufacturing company has been a global provider of engineered metal solutions.
** At least 2 years of electrical and preventative maintenance experience with High Voltage is REQUIRED. **
* They are preferably seeking candidates with U.S. military experience. *
Compensation: $31.86/hr (+ shift differential for 2nd/3rd shift.) OT calculated daily for anything over 8 hours.
ALL SHIFTS AVAILABLE.
What You Will Do:
- Responsible for inspecting, repairing, installing, and maintaining all machines and facilities equipment. Also responsible for operating electrical and mechanical equipment following best safety practices and procedures.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance inspections
- Diagnose faulty electrical operation using electrical testing equipment/ tools
- Determine the best way to repair to minimize the interruption of production
- Dismantle, clean, repair, replace, install, maintain, adjust and lubricate mechanical equipment
- Clean and prepare surfaces for welding
Education and Work Experience
- 2+ years of electrical and preventative maintenance experience with High Voltage.
- Experience working with A/C and D/C equipment (motors, generators, controls, switches, circuit breakers etc.)
- Must have your own tools (such as wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, hammers etc.)
- At least 4 years US Military experience highly preferred.
