Responsibilities: Leadership: Assist in overseeing clinic operations and guide our team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants to ensure the delivery of high-quality care. Medical Procedures: Perform various medical procedures, administer medications, vaccines, and treatments under the direction of veterinarians. Laboratory Work: Conduct laboratory tests including blood work, urinalysis, and fecal examinations to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning. Surgical Assistance: Prepare animals for surgery, assist during surgical procedures, and monitor anesthesia and recovery. Diagnostic Imaging: Perform x-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Client Education: Provide compassionate care to animals and educate pet owners on proper animal care, nutrition, and treatment plans. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate medical records to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements: Experience: Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician is highly desired, with a strong background in animal care. Technical Skills: Proficiency in common veterinary procedures and strong technical skills. Animal Handling: Proficient in animal handling and restraint techniques to ensure patient safety and comfort. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Organization: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail to maintain accurate records and oversee clinic workflow.
