General Purpose of Job
This position is responsible to assist staff engineers in preparing AutoCAD drawings, cable schedules, conduit schedules, and bill of materials for substation projects; prepare drawings for site evaluations and substation modifications; coordinate designs for construction with civil engineers; coordinate designs for construction with protection and controls engineers; keep substation one line diagrams updated and forwarded to appropriate departments; maintain all substation disciplines as-built files and issue as required with guidance from substation engineering personnel.

Education
Minimum
2 Year / Associate Degree?
Major:
design, engineering, engineering technology or related field
Experience
Preferred
Two (2) years' experience in the design of electric utility substations and developing construction plans and highly skilled use of AutoCAD.
Preferred
Experience with design components for distribution substations including single line diagrams, general arrangements, and protection systems.
Preferred
Experience or similar work with an electric utility or related industry.
Education and/or Experience Notes
Qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
