Picking
Understand the daily needs of the department.
Pick ingredients based on FIFO or expiration date depending on material.
SAP knowledge to pull ingredients in proper rotation
Transfer pallets from proper storage location to production room and back.
Keep storage areas clean.
Miscellaneous
Complete a checklist of forklift maintenance; oil leaks, horn, mast - hydraulic spills, test drive all functions.
Recharge forklift battery at the end of each shift.
Weigh, record and empty inedible product onto collection truck.
Audit inventory as needed.
Communicate with Department Assistant Supervisor and Supervisors on needed supplies for production.
Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE); recognize and practice Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP).
Keep assigned area clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
