The Role:
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager to help oversee the efficient operation of our warehouse facility. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. As the Purchasing Manager, you will be responsible for various aspects of warehouse operations
In this role, you need to be detail-oriented and proactive as you will be responsible for managing procurement processes, overseeing inventory selection, management, and replenishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, leadership skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team responsible for all purchasing and replenishment of all materials and equipment (>$200K per month of spend).
Purchasing/Replenishment Operations:
- Determine what SKUs, and in what quantity, should be held in the warehouse by analyzing demand patterns
- Select and onboard vendors taking into account price and quality considerations
- Oversee the replenishment and ordering processes for warehouse materials, including placing daily replenishment orders and initiating orders when inventory levels dip below predefined thresholds
- Oversee a team conducting regular warehouse inventory cycle counts to ensure precision and promptly reconcile any discrepancies
- Ensure the replenishment of truck materials and effectively communicate with technicians to maintain inventory accuracy
- Implement and enforce rigorous lockdown procedures in the warehouse to regulate and monitor employee access, foster accountability, and uphold security protocols
Tools & Equipment Management:
- Efficiently manage tools and equipment inventory, including purchasing, locating, and tracking
- Issue acknowledgement receipts forms
- Assist in coordinating logistics for repairs, rentals or movement of tools and equipment as needed
