Job Duties:
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various metalworking techniques such as welding, cutting, bending, and forming.
- Read and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and sketches to ensure accurate production of components.
- Operate a variety of tools and equipment including welders, grinders, saws, drills, and other power tools.
- Perform metal finishing techniques such as grinding, sanding, polishing, and painting to achieve desired surface finishes.
- Assist in the layout and preparation of materials for fabrication projects.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and protocols at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Fabricator or similar role in an architectural metal workshop or related field.
- Proficiency in welding (MIG, TIG) and metal fabrication techniques.
- Ability to work with various metals including sheet metal, rebar, and steel beams.
-Experience working with architectural/structural metal work is highly desired.
- Experience operating and maintaining a variety of metalworking tools and equipment.
- Strong understanding of metal properties and fabrication processes.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Physical strength and stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various positions as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or formal training in metal fabrication or a related field.
- Familiarity with architectural metalwork and construction industry standards.
- Knowledge of different metal finishes and surface treatments.
