Performs a variety of functions and technical procedures necessary for admission, assessment, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up and outcome evaluation of neurosurgery patients, including assisting in surgery and care of critical care neurosurgery patients. Participates in performance improvement, research and educational activities. Educational and/or Professional Qualifications: Graduate of a school of Physician Assistants. Previous Experience: Previous experience in patient care setting preferred. Knowledgeable regarding the physician assistant process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. Licensure, Certification, Registration, etc.: Valid license with the LA State Board of Medical Examiners. (Temporary License accepted)
