Job Details
Our client is looking to hire for multiple Compounder positions across first and third shifts for a global cosmetics and OTC manufacturer. You will oversee the dispensing or weighing of raw materials for manufacturing orders requiring compounding according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Follow the best combination of tools and equipment for the manufacturing orders as well as ensure the highest possible quality for the final product.
- Perform all activities related to the preparation of bulk while adhering to EHS & cGMP requirements.
- Weigh and measure materials, ingredients, or products to ensure conformance to specified requirements.
- Compound or process ingredients and dyes according to formulas.
- Read work orders to determine production specifications
- Observe production and monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Mix or blend ingredients by starting machines and mixing for specified times.
- Dump or pour specified amounts of materials into machinery or equipment.
- Collect samples of materials or products for laboratory testing. Operate or tend machines to mix or blend any of a wide variety of materials such as, chemicals, filler products and color pigments.
- Add or mix chemicals or ingredients for processing, using hand tools or other devices.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associates Degree in Chemistry preferred in related field
- 2 years of relevant experience within compounding industry (Cosmetics, Pharma, Food/Beverage)
- Availability for 1st (7 am - 3 pm) or 3rd (11 pm - 7 am) shift
