Job Objective: Ability to operate weaving looms and become proficient in weaving process, following established Standard Operating Procedures. Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost standards.
1st Shift: 7am-3pm
Essential Job Functions:
- Follow prescribed safety rules and regulations.
- Operate set (s) of looms. Repair breaks, draw - in, repair smashes, perform style changes, ensure construction conforms to style sheets.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Doff loom pancakes and transfer to carts.
- Accurately complete necessary production paperwork and data entry.
- Ability to work well with others in a team environment
- Excellent attendance required
- Full time presence required
- Ability to work overtime as required or requested including extended shifts and weekends.
- Additional tasks as assigned
Job Qualifications: - Ability to read, write and perform basic data entry.
- Ability to complete Hazardous Communications training.
- Ability to successfully complete lock out / tag out training
- Ability to be certified to operate powered industrial trucks as listed below.
- Proficiency in the use of a ruler.
- Ability to wear hearing protection.
- Requires good eyesight, ability to see fine detail.
- Requires good manual dexterity and eye/hand coordination.
- Minimum of three to six months of experience operating machinery.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to learn independently including book, web-based and classroom participation
