**Location:**
This is a full-time position, open to candidates in the US, Canada, and Europe. You must be authorized to work in these regions. We are open to transfers (H1B, etc. for US).

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Optimize and refine models using techniques like transformer distillation and fine-tuning on small datasets.
- Work with the research team to drive our technical vision and long-term research strategy
- Engage in the full model development cycle from conceptualization to deployment and training
- Remain up-to-date on ongoing foundational model research development activities in the industry.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience in AI/ML model development, particularly with transformers, LSTM/GRU, or fine-tuning approaches.
- Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in AI.
- 5+ years of hands on experience in large language model, NLP, and modeling, in the setting of both research and engineering development
- PhD, Masters or experience in deep learning, artificial intelligence, and/or related technical field
- Experience and knowledge of ML frameworks like PyTorch, TensorFlow, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of training language models
