The Graphic Design program in the School of Art + Design at Western Carolina University invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate students. Position commences Fall 2019.

The candidate should be a practicing graphic designer and educator who is as passionate about teaching as they are about the field itself. We seek someone with demonstrated expertise in contemporary critical discourse, design history, typography, interactive media, web design, and a collaborative and innovative design pedagogy. Excellent interpersonal skills, clarity, generosity, and creativity in both personal work and teaching are essential.

In addition to the qualifications listed above, applicants should have 3-5 years of experience teaching design studios and seminars. Successful applicants should also have a MFA degree in a design related field.
