** Steward (Full Time Seasonal 2022)**
Job Locations US-MA-Martha's Vineyard ID 2021-1165 Category Restaurant - Kitchen Type Full Time Seasonal ** Overview**
The purpose of this job is to help ensure guest satisfaction by maintaining all dishes, pots, pans, silverware, glasses, equipment, and kitchen utensils in a clean and sanitized condition. In addition, this job requires that the employee keep the machine dishwashing station, dish room, preparation, and storage areas clean and sanitized.
** Responsibilities**
* Willingness to follow instructions and accept constructive feedback from departmental supervisors/ managers
* Work in an environment that at times can be hot and humid
* Maintain a neat and orderly work station
* Know and comply with all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and guest interaction
* Report to work on time and in complete uniform
* Assist in other areas as needed
* Adheres to daily/weekly/ monthly cleaning schedules in compliance with all departmental standards
* Completion of any task requested by a supervisor or member of the management team
** Qualifications**
* Experience as a Steward or Dishwasher preferred
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a diverse team environment
* Understanding of basic kitchen sanitation
* Must be available to work a schedule which will include holidays, weekends, and varied shift times
* Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods of time
* Ability to converse with guests and employees in English.
