Job Summary
The student assistant position will assist the Director of Payroll Services as well as the Senior Payroll Analyst with payroll processing, running reports, sending out emails, assisting in account reconciliation and review and daily administrative tasks. They will also assist the Vice President of Finance and Administration and the VP's admin, as needed.
Responsibilities
Answering phones - 20
Will answer the phone as needed and help direct people coming in to the Payroll and Vice President's Office.
Administrative duties - 50
Will send out emails to student workers, faculty, and employees regarding direct deposit setup, canceled absences, time approval, direct deposit rejects, etc. for the payroll office and the Vice President's office, as needed.
Reconciliation and Reporting - 30
Verifying reports, running reports and queries, learning how to audit reports.
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
High School diploma
Other Required Qualifications
Enrolled as a student at Georgia College & State University
Customer service, engaging, and focused.
Required Experience
Experience working in an office setting or the ability and drive to learn.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Educational Qualifications
Preferred to be majoring in a Business field.

SKILLS
Need to be able to effectively use a phone and computer
