SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Enviro Tech works as a part of a team to ensure environmental and safety regulations are being met.

EFCO CORPORATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Pass pre-employment tests
  • Work in a team environment with the ability to communicate in a concise, polite and respectful manner
ENVIRONMENT:
  • Noise level requires hearing protection
  • Seasonal high/low temperatures and humidity
  • Elevated heights
  • Fumes or airborne particles
  • Toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Must be able and willing to comply with all plant safety and environmental regulations including wearing appropriate PPE when working in the production area
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Conduct daily environmental and safety inspections of all facilities as required
  • Assist with accident investigations
  • Comply with safety, quality, and productivity requirements and procedures
  • Regular/dependable attendance required
  • Flexibility of work hours including overtime
  • Use of hand tools and machinery is required to maintain equipment
  • Must be able to work well with little or no supervision
  • Assists with characterization, managing, handling, and transferring RCRA Haz Waste
  • Responsible for maintaining Haz Pad and Satellite Accumulation Areas
  • Perform inspections including Haz, SPCC, SWPP, etc as required
  • Maintains knowledge of and assists with implementation of Plans including RCRA Contingency, Waste Minimization, SPCC, SWPP, etc as required.
  • Training is completed annually for existing employees. New employees receive training within 6 months of beginning their job, as well as on the Job Training under the supervision or direction of a trained employee.
  • Participates in EFCO's Continuous Improvement efforts by understanding his/her team's performance and actively implementing and supporting process improvements
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Ability to rotate to other positions as needed
  • Other duties may be assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Must be Certified Hazardous Materials - RCRA
  • Must be Certified Air Emissions Technician
  • Must be Certified DOT HazMat
  • Must be Certified CPR/First Aid/Blood Borne Pathogens

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Lift 70-100 pounds; Grip 70 pounds; Pinch 20 pounds; Push 70 pounds; Pull 118 pounds.
