We are seeking a Safety Manager for our client who is a leader in the Food Service Packaging industry. We are seeking someone who will be able to oversee safety and environmental compliance across the organization to ensure safe production practices and compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead safety and environmental compliance initiatives.
- Coach and train the organization to achieve a zero-incident culture.
- Conduct and assist in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
- Perform hazard assessments and implement risk reduction controls.
- Partner with plant leadership to implement safety initiatives.
- Conduct safety inspections, meetings, and training programs.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local environmental standards.
Required Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently.
- Proficiency with MS Office and statistical software.
- Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
- Safety certifications (CSP or CSM preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of safety leadership experience in manufacturing.
- In-depth understanding of OSHA, EPA, and local environmental standards.
- Ability to travel 50% for audits and training.
