Job Description

We are looking for a Tooling Engineer for our Corporate HQ Office located in Auburn Hills, MI.

Essential Job Functions:

Designs a variety of tools consistent with standard tool configuration, including cutting and forming tools. May be responsible for the design of a wider variety of tooling consistent with company and customer standards including molding, machining, drilling, assembly, bonding and check fixtures.
May identify problems with performance or tool life and recommend solutions or enhancements.
Performs research, testing, data gathering, measurements, or engineering analysis in an office, laboratory or manufacturing environment. Engineering assignments of average complexity may be performed independently.
Under the direction of a Senior Engineer, performs engineering support on complex projects or technical assignments in conjunction with more experienced engineers. Independently compiles data and analyzes results for project or team review.
Demonstrates increasing knowledge and capability as engineering experience increases.
Designs, testing and analysis must comply with IATF16949 and ISO procedures.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor's Degree in Design, Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Science.
At least five years of work experience of tooling engineering within automotive manufacturing.
Product experience with composite, plastics, injection molding or stampings is strongly preferred.
Understanding and have worked a full product launch for a customer program is required.
Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Project, Word, and PowerPoint.

Pay Range (estimates may vary):
$71,305.45 - $121,288.06
