The Opportunity:
West Liberty University is seeking applications for a Student Success Coach in the Student Learning Center. The Student Success Coach is responsible for coordinating retention activities and assisting with the development of retention programs to support the enrollment goals of West Liberty University.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Coordinates retention activities and the development of retention programs.
- Monitors and develops contact with at-risk students to enhance retention.
- Coordinates remediation programs for students on academic probation.
- Produces professional correspondence, proposals, and reports.
- Serves as a generalist for multiple functions within the Student Success Center.
- Maintains the RAVE academic alert system.
- Acts as the academic adviser for Undeclared students.
- Acts as the project manager for Hilltopper Academy.
- Creates and updates the Parent Power Newsletter.
- Instructs courses as assigned.
Skills/Abilities:
- Effective conflict management skills
- Knowledge of academic support functions
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Must relate effectively with students, institutional personnel, and the public
- Possesses strong technical aptitude
- Demonstrated ability to produce professional correspondence, proposals, and reports using word processing or other computer applications and related technology (Word, Excel, other software)
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
