Flight Line Mechanic

Talascend is currently seeking a Flight Line Mechanic for a contract opportunity in North Charleston, SC

SUMMARY:

Available for weekend call every 3rd or 4th weekend a month.
LRU replacements and Inspections, OMAT, may need to travel to Everett but infrequently.
(OMAT is the UK term for HAZMAT, its just our sealant and oils we used during maintenance)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Removing and installing Line Replacement Units (LRUs) and engine components as well as repair work
Engine Removal/Installation
Incorporate modifications and inspecting / evaluating engine components
Providing assistance to troubleshoot and resolve engine and aircraft system malfunctions
Collecting and reporting engine-related information
Must be willing to work on any shift (days, afternoons and nights) or rotate as necessary in any shift pattern
Required to be available for Service Support on a 24-hour basis, including weekends and holidays
Ability to lift, hold and carry up to 50 pounds unaided
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

High School Diploma with 2+ years experience in aircraft engine mechanics
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
A&P license

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Associates degree
Jet engine experience
Maintenance experience on large client engines
Experience in manufacturing or aviation industry
