Hire Resolve's client is a leading Multi-disciplinary Engineering firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of a Staff Scientist in Melville, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Perform asbestos, mold and lead surveys on residential and commercial buildings.
- Providing project monitoring and air sampling, including compliance with on-site field protocols such as chain of custody forms and daily logs.
- Preparing and reviewing project related reports.
- Project management of asbestos and lead abatement projects including scheduling field staff, client management, dealing with contractors and ensuring compliance with state and city agencies, a plus.
Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science or related discipline.
- 1-2 years of experience in the environmental consulting field, specifically industrial hygiene preferred.
- Current NYSDOL certifications for the following:
- Asbestos Inspector desired.
- Mold Assessor desired.
- Asbestos Project Monitoring/Air Sampling Technician desired.
- Asbestos Project Designer desired.
- NYC DEP Asbestos Investigator a plus.
- Lead EPA lead inspector/risk assessor certification a plus.
- Strong technical skills including field expertise and knowledge of architectural drawings.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Client relationship skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
