Is compassion your superpower? We are looking for an outstanding therapist to join our IUH Ball Addiction Treatment and Recovery Center. In this space you will work with adults who are experiencing issues related to substance use disorder. Your duties will include connecting with individuals through the completion of a biopsychosocial assessment, developing a patient centered treatment plan, and incorporating therapeutic interventions in both individual and, when appropriate, group sessions. You will be part of an interdisciplinary team that will work to create a space for patients to find hope, support, and to know that they are valued. We focus on developing self-efficacy, acquiring skills to improve overall functioning, and address underlying issues that are impacting their overall quality of life. We see patients seeking our services as valued, capable, and brave individuals. We strive to support them on their journey to long term recovery and believe that is an achievable goal. We assist our patients with identifying resources and supports available to help in achieving their goals. We understand that substance use disorder is a chronic medical condition and as such work to support individuals in our clinic to develop skills and resources to promote a life of recovery. Often stigma can make it difficult for individuals to seek support, we strive to ensure that our clinic is different and those walking through our doors know they matter. This position is full-time, days with no weekends or holidays required.

Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related area is required.
CPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certification may be required.
Requires current licensure or license eligibility in the state of Indiana as an HSPP, LMFT, LCSW or LMHC.
Clinical licensure preferred.
Requires knowledge of the impact of the disease process and of human behavior to provide psychosocial assessments, short-term therapeutic counseling, and crisis intervention to patients, families and staff.
Requires knowledge of state and county adult and child protective legal mandates.
Requires knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.
Maintains principles, practices and techniques of crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with the community, medical teams, law enforcement, APS/CPS, schools, probation and other agencies as indicated.
Requires proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Requires relevant health care, mental health or community-based experience.

- Therapists will be responsible for documentation in the EMR and must be able to do so concisely and professionally.

- Must be able to see the value and worth in others and help them to see this in themselves.

- Preferred candidates will be experienced in providing individual therapy to adults and ideally with experience in addictions.
