Custom Millworker


Job Details

The Shepley Custom Millwork Shop partners with builders, contractors, architects, designers and remodelers to create high-end custom millwork for new construction and remodel projects.

Position Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include the following, but are not limited to:

  • Read and interpret drawings and project documents ensuring custom millwork is made to specifications.
  • Produce custom millwork, from moldings to stair parts to handcrafted doors.
  • Use standard woodworking machinery and hand tools for milling, fabrication, sanding, and assembly.
  • Quality craftsmanship.
  • Adherence to safety standards and procedures.
  • Maintain shop area, machinery, and tools.
  • Meet required timelines and quality standards.
  • Train and support more junior staff in learning machinery, tools and skills.
  • Work as a collaborative team member to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years working in high-end custom millwork.
  • Reading and understanding architectural plans and shop drawings.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to high quality work.
  • Professional, initiative-taking, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge and compliance with safety practices.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
