NOTICE OF AN OPEN POSITION

CLASSIFICATION:
Educational Assistants and Paraprofessionals
Lunch Aide (Category 6)
LOCATION:
Current Assignment - Middle School
PAY RATE:
Per Master Contract, Current Step 1 -$12.81/hour
May earn an additional .25 cents / hour premium with an associate's degree or higher education or passage of the MTTC (or equivalent) test in reading, writing, and math
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:
Kim Thayer, Middle School Principal
HOURS OF WORK:
10:45 am - 1:15 pm (approximate times)
On student attendance full-days
STARTING DATE:
August 14, 2024
QUALIFICATIONS:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must also have an excellent attendance record; reliable transportation; the ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community, the ability to communicate clearly, concisely and pleasantly both orally and possibly in writing. Must perform duties with awareness of all District requirements and Board of Education policies. Must maintain appropriate wearing apparel for position. Must hold a valid CPR Certification within 6 months of being hired.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Supervises students during lunch time.
PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT:
Mainly indoor environment but could include occasional outdoor environment. Includes: standing, walking, and sitting. Occasionally required to operate office equipment; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Continual interaction with students and staff. May be exposed to paper dust, public illness, and bodily fluids normally found in a school environment
