COMPENSATION: Annual Salary $45,000-$55,000 starting (based on experience) + benefits


JOB BRIEF:

Parkway East Design is looking for an enthusiastic Purchasing Agent/Office Manager to assist our interior design team with the procurement of finishes, fixtures, and equipment for our high-end residential and commercial projects and oversee the smooth operation of the studio. As part of our design team, you will help manage the many details of sourced items to ensure accurate and timely purchase, delivery, and installation. Candidates should have exemplary organizational skills, clear communications, a proactive approach to problem solving, a knack for building strong relationships, and a contagious enthusiasm for supporting others.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work alongside our talented designers, taking ownership of each project s procurement phase
  • Schedule and meet with vendor reps and maintain a current read on industry suppliers and offerings
  • Request estimates from vendors, consult with suppliers, and review quotes for projects
  • Prepare proposals, obtain client approvals, and send purchase orders to vendors
  • Purchase general and specialized materials while reviewing orders for accuracy
  • Follow up on orders, shipping, delivery dates, etc. in preparation for project installation
  • Coordinate with receivers to arrange storage, verify deliveries, and resolve claims
  • Maintain healthy communications with vendors to resolve errors and issues as they arise
  • Maintain the studio library, ordering & organizing of samples while archiving discontinued materials
  • Manage purchases and supplies for the studio, as well as light tidying
  • Orchestrate office calendars as you track schedules and coordinate events
  • Answer office phone and emails from clients and vendors, directing vital information to relevant staff
  • Handle all incoming and outgoing mail
  • Motivate the team and promote a positive workspace environment

MUST HAVES:

  • Experience in Office Management, FF&E (furniture, fixtures, & equipment) procurement, and/or interior design
  • Honest, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Exceptional organizational skills while managing multiple priorities on deadline
  • Resilient under pressure and quick to adapt to change
  • Clear interpersonal communication skills

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience using Studio Designer software
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent
