TCI has an immediate need for a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Chantilly, VA or Colorado Springs, CO (no remote). This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the possibility of hire. The Full-Stack Application Software Engineer will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team working on large-scale enterprise application systems for Space Domain purposes using web technologies, distributed computation, as well as sophisticated, cloud technologies, frameworks, and cutting-edge domain analytics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of software development and integration team focused on mission-unique software to be developed and integrated with existing and new cutting-edge capabilities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform the development and integration via industry best practices, including Agile methodologies for the government system.
- Provide mission application and framework development support.
- Participate in a development team that uses modern DevSecOps software practices and a technology-supported development infrastructure.
- Maintain and develop new capabilities to the deployed system, diagnose and resolve issues, and provide support to end-users as needed.
- The ideal candidate will have the technical talent and desire to continuously learn new skills and technologies.
- Provide on-the-job mentoring to junior engineers as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- MUST have an active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance with consent to Poly.
- Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline and a minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. OR a graduate degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Experience with Java, JEE object-oriented programming.
- Experience with the Vue.js framework.
- Experience with Microservices.
- Experience with containerization technologies: Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or GovCloud.
- Experience with Agile Software Development Process and Methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, or Kanban).
- Experience with supporting systems engineering efforts in system design, solution engineering, and software development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to detail complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be a US Citizen and currently possess a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Experience with Spring Boot framework.
- Experience with C++, or Python programming languages.
- Experience with PostgreSQL or similar Relational Database Management System (RDBMS).
- Experience with Front-End web development, including JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, SCSS, or HTML.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Experience with integration and development tools, including AWS, Docker, Bitbucket, and Jenkins.
- Experience integrating, testing, and deploying software applications to operations.
- Knowledge of REST APIs.
