Under general supervision of the Maintenance Services Manager this position is responsible for work in the planning, organization, coordination and effective execution of capital and maintenance work for Montgomery County Solid Waste. Responsibilities include exercising independent judgment in supporting work activities, budget development, project planning and scheduling work priorities, follow up of general maintenance work orders, assisting in developing and completing planned maintenance interruptions and preventive maintenance schedules that maximize equipment reliability and reduce costs. This position also assists in training employees in maintenance and repair of all utility machinery and equipment while maintaining high levels of safety.
