**Description**
**POSITION SUMMARY:**
The Delivery Driver picks, packs, and drives good to customers and others as well as assists in warehouse operations.
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:**
* Maintains accurate records of travel, mileage and related expenses.
* Performs pre and post trip inspection of vehicles.
* Always maintains a safe shop environment and wears all prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when performing the assigned tasks; stops working immediately in the event of a non-conformance.
* Report to supervisor immediately any unstable act or condition that requires corrective action
* Performs other duties as directed by the Branch Manager and supervisor
* Pick and pack parts and group as necessary
* Communicate with Inside Sales Rep, Foreman, Branch Manager and other team members to make deliveries.
* Loading and unloading cargo into delivery van
* Obtain customer signatures when applicable
* Follow DOT regulations, road safety standards among other safety standards
* Requires heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods of time
* Receiving stock and placing in the appropriate warehouse location
* Random Cycle Counts to ensure the inventory shown on hand is accurate
**QUALIFICATIONS:**
* Valid Drivers License
* Clean DOT record
* Customer service oriented
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness and ability to be flexible and adapt to changing job requirements
* Ability to resolve customer issues
* The ability to operate forklifts is preferred
**Required Skills and Experience**
* Ability to work as a team player and assist other departments as required.
* Assist in any other special projects, as needed and participate in processes to improve quality and increased efficiency or productivity.
* Ability to unload, check-in, count and sort incoming product to verify receipt of items on bill of lading and Packing Lists.
* High School Diploma or Equivalent
* Forklift experience a plus
* Experience in a Warehouse or Distribution Environment
* Must be 18 or over.
**Physical Demands:**
Physical demands needed to successfully perform the position include the ability to:
* Walk and stand for long periods of time.
* Use hands/arms to reach for and handle merchandise and materials.
* Sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
* Regularly lift, push and/or pull up to 10 pounds; occasionally lift, push and/or pull up to 40 pounds; and infrequently lift, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

**Work Environment:**
* Moderate noise levels from the distribution centers mechanical and computer equipment.
* You will work near moving mechanical parts and will occasionally work from places high above the ground.
* You will be working in an environment with high temperatures (and occasionally cold temperatures.)
