Customer Service/Admin Assistant - Bilingual

The Lincoln Community Health Center is looking to add a bilingual administrative assistant to their team to help with the day to day functions of their office.

The Support Service Specialist serves as the first point of contact for clients, caregivers, family, and partners presenting to LCHC via phone or in person. This individual provides crucial patient care services that support the financial health of LCHC by ensuring patient appointments are scheduled and completed appropriately, verifying insurance, entering demographic data, and reviewing schedules for optimal provider utilization. This individual will also prepare, retrieve and distribute clinic information to staff, clients and the public.

We are seeking an individual with high quality customer service skills. This position does require communicating in both Spanish and English, so fluency in both is required. Other key areas of experience or knowledge include:

  • Knowledge of healthcare office practices and procedures.
  • Some experience using an EHR (Electronic Health Record) system.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a medical office or direct customer service role, including multi-line telephone, in person clients, email inbox, and daily projects.
  • Record keeping and reporting experience.
  • Basic knowledge of billing and payment principles.
  • Basic knowledge of commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid insurance eligibility.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills with high focus on customer engagement/ patient satisfaction.
