To learn more about Berry, visit Responsibilities DEPARTMENT: General & Administrative LOCATION: Pittston, PA FLSA STATUS : Salary Non-Exempt REPORTS TO : Plant Manager PURPOSE: Provide administrative support to a department and/or Manager. Duties include general clerical, receptionist and project-based work. Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction. Performs a variety of administrative duties for departments throughout the plant. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The primary duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Assistant consist of, but are not limited to, the following: Exemplifies the Berry Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Berry inside and outside of the plant. Responsible for compiling daily labor reports and weekly labor summaries. Responsible for daily input of associate attendance records. Generates attendance notices as needed using guidelines outlined in the Attendance Policy. Maintain and track associate points as set forth in the Attendance Policy. Create and maintain filing systems, both electronic and physical. Maintain and generate reports and graphs for departments within the plant. Ensure that the labor reports equal the payroll reports. Manage accounts and perform basic bookkeeping. Schedule and coordinate staff and other meetings. Assume receptionist duties, greet public and refer them to appropriate staff members, answer phone, route calls, and take messages. Assist staff and Human Resources with administrative duties as requested. When directed coordinate travel and lodging accommodations for staff, as requested. Assist with completion of necessary reports as requested. Distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail including bulk mail. Maintain lobby and front desk area keeping it clean and free from clutter. Create, edit, and process documents and employee communication documents as needed. Provide general support to visitors. When directed order office supplies and monitor inventory. Produce mailing labels and reports as directed. Maintain appropriate interpersonal relationships with employees, peers, and consumers. Various other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent required. 1+ years' experience in a Receptionist or General Administrative role required. Working knowledge of office equipment, such as computers, multi-line phone systems, printers, and fax machines. Enclosed office space with limited exposure to warehouse space and production floor; hearing protection may be required at times; Regularly required to sit for long periods, with amounts of time spent standing, and walking. Excellent communication skills--verbal and written; musteffectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers. Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self-starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment. Attention to detail and strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
