Job Summary: This position oversees, coordinates and performs all duties relating to maintaining appropriate inventory levels for the shipping, receiving and general use units. Serves as a main contact for the DOA, building operations and customers. Oversees and performs mail services for the building. Receives, documents and enters data of merchandise for all units. Updates procedures as needed. Develops and updates any procedure, policy or method to ensure quality.

Responsibilities: Assesses stock supply and submits orders, verifies shipment receipt, and maintains shipping, receiving, and inventory records to ensure unit has appropriate inventory.

* 30% Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders following established vendor procurement procedures

* 20% Inspects and inventories received items and processes notifications to appropriate entities

* 20% Shelves inventory and maintains organization

* 10% Generates inventory reports to account for available stock and usage

* 20% Assist Shipping department with selected projects

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

Salary: **Minimum** $19.00 HOURLY

Additional Information: - Knowledge of traffic regulations and safety precautions to be observed in operating a motor

vehicle when transporting regular and hazardous materials on and off campus.

- Knowledge of safe work practices, including equipment operation and lifting.

- Knowledge of basic data entry skills, inventory principles, and record keeping.

- Knowledge of shipping companies that service the lab and their related procedures (i.e., Federal

Express, UPS, DHL, etc.)

- Knowledge of basic receiving, purchasing procedures and regulations, including dangerous goods

and receiving precautions.

- Knowledge of mail and shipping regulations.

- Knowledge of and use of effective team, interpersonal, and customer service skills.

- Ability to operate office equipment.

- General knowledge of OSHA biohazard safety.

- Knowledge of basic medical laboratory terminology.

- Ability to read and follow directions accurately.

- Ability to operate a personal computer.

- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

- Knowledge of operation and maintenance parameters of mail metering equipment.

- Ability to learn, adapt, and apply new or changing methods, requirements, or priorities and utilize

organizational skills to enhance efficiency.
