2nd shift Hours of Operation: M-F 2:15pm - 10:45pm

However, training will be completed for the first 4 weeks during the 1st shift hours starting at 6:00am-2:30pm.

**Under the direction of the Volvo Operations Concept:**

* Performs work according to SOP (Standard Operating Procedure)

* Performs Autonomous maintenance

* Performs Autonomous safety

* Performs quick Kaizen

* Takes other assignments, according to Start point concept

This position is responsible for performing any or all of the tasks associated with shipping and receiving of components, parts, and materials, as well as responsible for transporting parts and cargo between Charlotte Remanufacturing sites. All employees are responsible for the quality of their work and customer satisfaction, and are expected to engage in active continuous improvement. Knowledge and understanding of workplace 5S and problem solving is required to prevent and correct situations that could reduce quality and customer satisfaction.

**Core Responsibilities:**

* Responsible for the shipping and receiving of components, parts and materials

* Plans and ensures efficient use of warehouse space

* Accurately processes all parts orders

* Continuous improvement of all processes

* Keeps the warehouse and work area clean and neat at all times

* Executes material counts as requested

* Performs inventory transactions into the inventory management system

* Establishes and maintains accurate storage location and records

* Responsible for transporting parts and cargo between Charlotte sites

* Ensures that loads are properly secured to avoid damage during transport

* Plans and ensures efficient truck space

**Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates:**

* High school diploma, or GED required.

* Vocational certificate or equivalent certificate

* 2 years experience in parts and warehouse operation

* Must be forklift certified

* Must have valid driver's license and safe driving record

**Preferred Experience and Knowledge:**

* Positive attitude, good communication skills, and willing to learn and share knowledge with others

* Punctual, self-motivated, independent, and strong team player

* Understands concepts of lean, 5S, and problem solving

* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure

* Capable of operating material handling equipment and forklift

* Good organization skills

* General computer skills, and proficiency in related proprietary company information systems (Visual, SAP, IFS, or equivalent) a plus

**Physical Demands to be met with or without accommodation:**

* Regularly required to reach with arms and hands

* Required to stand, walk and use hands to handle tools/controls

* Required to sit, climb, balance and crouch. Required to lift up to 70lbs

**SAFETY:**

* Safety glasses in cleaning building, and machine shop at all times

* Safety shoes required at all times

* Special attention to noise levels, hearing protection required in specific areas or operations
