**Responsibilities:**
* Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner
* Perform general customer service by giving rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, helping customer correctly fill out a Bill Of Lading and label freight, etc.
* Resolve complex or unusual requests and problems that may require customized responses and communicate solutions or requested information to the customer
* Respond to customer issues and questions in a timely manner
* Handle escalated issues from other customer service clerks
* Provide training to new customer service clerks
* Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
* May assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying
**Qualifications:**
* High School diploma or equivalent
* 4 years of customer service experience in the transportation industry
* Strong attention to detail
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AS400 and other company specific systems
* Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in as fast-paced environment
* Demonstrated ability to provide Service 2.OD consistently and set a positive example for other employees
