Responsibilities
Essential functions and responsibilities:
- Proficiently use cash register and able to assist others in basic register problem solving and use of Point-of-Sale system.
- Implement store opening and closing procedures as assigned.
- Supports management with banking and reporting procedures, including cash handling procedures, opening and closing of registers, bank runs, and daily deposits.
- Implement assigned strategies daily to meet product acquisition, production, and sales goals.
- Aware of product rotation process and is diligent in turning product over; communicating with central warehouse to place orders for next day's processing when assigned.
- Supports store management with store maintenance and appearance, following procedures for maintenance and safety concerns, making sure floor displays and layout plans are being followed and updated.
- Support management in creating an enjoyable shopping experience with positive customer service skills; handles customer complains as needed.
- Communicates with Store Management regarding all facets of store operations, updating and sharing all incidents and concerns as required.
- Supports protection of resources under their supervision; implementing product control procedures to prevent shrinkage through theft or spoilage while controlling property, utility, and product supply waste.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Must be available for a flexible schedule; full-time or part-time positions will require evening, weekend, and holiday hours.
Additional InformationMinimum Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal education, experience, skills, and/or abilities required for this position.
Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
(Education level) plus X years of relevant experience. (Higher level) degree a plus (or preferred).
OR
Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Experience: Has Retail experience. Has experience following and giving direction.
Certifications: Valid Driver's License and has transportation to and from the bank.
Skills/Abilities: Ability to speak, write and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective
communication with customers, management and coworkers.
Basic computer skills including but not limited to the use of the Point of Sales System; the
payroll program and all other programs or systems that are adopted by the TSA ARC.
Ability to give change accurately.
Supervisory Responsibility: - Gives direction to the staff as assigned or in the absence of a manager or assistant manager.
- Documents and reports to management any concerns in behavior or attitude.

Travel: May be required to travel to various locations for work or training
Working Conditions: The work environment for this position is a store environment with a quiet to moderate noise level. The environment may be dusty and may experience temperature fluctuations based on weather. May stand for extended periods. Full-Time or Part-Time position; will require weekend and evening hours.
