Service Cape Girardeau, Missouri Patient Billing Customer Service Part-Time **Description**
Day Shift
Responsible interacting with patients, patient payment transactions in person and over the phone, as well as resolving patient account concerns.
**Begin**
* Process applications for financial assistance
* Maintain financial assistance logs
* Make status calls on accounts when appropriate
* Set and manage patient payment plans
* Answer and route incoming telephone calls
* Process patient payments in person and over the telephone
* Transfer accounts to /from billing /bad debt status
* Be able to work self-pay list properly
* Be able to handle deceased patients accounts appropriately
* Be able to prepare all legal accounts appropriately
* Be able to process self-pay credits and refunds
* Be able to work as the liaison between self-pay and bad debt vendors
* Be able to process employee payroll deductions
* Make the best first impression on our patients every single time
* Assist in training new team members
* Other duties as assigned
**Become**
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
* Two years experience in a medical or business office preferred
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to research and analyze data
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, other departments, management and contacts outside the organization
* Must be able to read, write and speak English
