**JOB DESCRIPTION**

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and professional individual to build their career with our Inventory Control Department as an Inventory Control Clerk. This is a dynamic role where you will be a key part of our Inventory Control Team with objectives including:

* Cycle counting of inventory, entry of inventory data into the computer system, and support for other departments

* Inspecting, approving or rejecting all inbound perishables, as well as the quality of outbound shipments

**HOW YOULL HELP THE TEAM SUCCEED:**

* Cycle count and maintaining accurate inventory levels

* Assist in checking in routes/drivers as needed accounting for all paper work from drivers and any returns or other

* Report on trends tracked through cycle counts

* Keypunch paperwork generated by operations on a daily basis

* Track and report on inventory levels in the holding warehouse

* Run a negative slot report to verify inventory

* Assist Purchasing by validating product in specific slots

* Assist all other departments with their inventory needs

* Match credits noted by Drivers to the products that are returned

* Research discrepancies such as returns without documentation

* Make sure all returns are taken back to their appropriate areas

* Assisting Will Call with any returns that are processed there

* Supply a written form on all products with a problem of quality, condition and temperature to our suppliers

* Daily inspection of product in pick location for quality, condition, and shelf life

* Communicate with all buyers about products to determine what action will be taken

* Manage sorting all product for suitable resale

* Watch for proper product rotation in pick slots

* Alert buyer for product that is slow or not moving in a timely period

* Check and approve all code dated product(s) as to their expiration date

* Notify buyer of any ongoing pattern of either bad product or apparent customer abuse

* Minimum of one year experience in warehouse operations

* Must be able to work a 5:00am-1:30pm (Monday- Friday) shift

* Must be flexible if shift changes due to business needs

* Possess basic computer skills including 10-key data entry

* Able to identify basic inventory terminology and reporting

* Able to demonstrate attention to detail, self-motivation, and the ability to communicate and coordinate with others employees

* Able to work in a variety of temperatures (cooler, freezer, dry)

* Able to operate and have a basic understanding of mechanical operation of pallet jack, forklift, man-lift and other such warehouse equipment

* Able to lift product weighing up to 90 pounds

* Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, access, outlook PowerPoint)
